James Ross has studied history and music at Oxford University, with a dissertation on opera in France of the Third Republic. He was a finalist in the contest Philharmonic direction of the BBC in 1998 and has led more than 850 works in 15 countries in Europe, North America and Asia, including a directory of major French works.
